Wild Pepper Voatsiperifery from Madagascar
Rare, intense, authentic... Voatasiperifery is a pepper that grows wild in the tropical forests of Madagascar, far from intensive cultivation, and is harvested by hand by local communities as they climb vines up to 20 metres high. Each berry is unique: small and with its characteristic stalk, a sign of its wild origins.
Aromatic profile
Warm and complex notes, with hints of citrus, wood, resin and a slightly smoky finish. Less pungent than classic black pepper, but much more elegant and persistent.
In the kitchen
Perfect with: red meat, fish and shellfish, grilled vegetables, ,mture cheeses, also surprising with strawberries and dark chocolate
